About Suliya Gogiya

Suliya Gogiya is a Korean pocha and charcoal BBQ restaurant — authentic food, genuine atmosphere, and a quality offering. But for years the business marketed almost exclusively to Korean customers, leaving the much larger local market completely untapped right outside its doors.

The Problem

Great Food.
Talking to Too Few People.

Suliya Gogiya had everything a great restaurant needs — except reach. By targeting only the Korean community, the business had capped its own ceiling. The food was excellent, but a huge local audience never even knew the restaurant existed, let alone that it was for them.

The issue wasn't the product. It was positioning. The brand spoke to one narrow audience, in one voice, and the result was inconsistent, limited demand. To grow, Suliya Gogiya didn't need a new menu — it needed to be repositioned for the local market.

The brief: "Open this brand up to the whole neighbourhood — not just one community."

Our approach

Brand Positioning & Targeting Strategy

1

Reposition

We rebuilt how Suliya Gogiya presents itself — repositioning the brand from a Korean-community restaurant into an inviting local Korean BBQ & pocha destination that anyone in the area would want to try. The food stayed the same; the story changed completely.

2

Retarget

We shifted the targeting from a Korean-only audience to the broader local market — putting the right message in front of an entirely new set of customers who had never been spoken to before. This single strategic change unlocked a whole new pool of demand.

3

Surge

The transformation was dramatic. The customer base changed completely, the restaurant began drawing queues, and revenue surged within three months — proof of just how much positioning and strategy can move a business that already had a great product.
